A question for those familiar with CO2 injection systems using a biochamber/reactor.

I'm currently using the CO2 reactor 1000 brand chamber, but this is more of a general question:

I have never seen any bubbling from the downspout tubing inside the reactor chamber with 1-2 bubbles per second being injected at the bubble counter. If I crank up the gas, bubbles do appear in th chamber, so I know that the system is set up correctly. Is it typical to see bubbling within the chamber... or are the gas quantities so low that you'll never see (or rarely see) any acual bubbling?

I use the same one on my 55g and yes you should see bubbles in the reactor.
I am running about 3 bps and can count the same in the chamber.

How many bps are you running?

Thanks for the reply mott! I'm running 1-2 bps. I finally convinced myself that the lame bubble counter was the culprit, and removed it entirely. Low and behold, the bubbles are now appearing in the chamber. I don't even have plans to replace it as you can count the bubbles as they rise up from the downtub within the reactor.

Good deal, now keep a close eye on your fish, add some surface agitation at night to be safe. If they are gasping at the top of the tank turn co2 down.
good luck!
