could i safly put 3 geophagus red heads in a 55 with loaches and some barbs
do they need sand
how big do they get
what kind of aggression am i looking at if they breed

? no one knows anything about geos wow

Though you were considering the pindare? Sand is a must and it is interesting to watch. 3 should be fine but I'd try to a get a 1male to 2female ratio, or all males or females.

May I ask how is sand a must?

I have kept them on regular pea size gravels before and they did just fine. I might of not gotten to see them sifting through sands etc but they were healthy.

I would be worried for when they get bigger cuz they definitely can get gravel stuck in there gills. Sifting is definetly part of their nature so watch out, plus it is interesting to watch.

omg i love the geophagus pindare. how about 3 of them insted

3 or 4 should be fine since they dont get very big. Post some pics when you get them!

what would the cheepist place be to oder these

checkout aquabid. If not Jeff Rapps and Ken at Fishfarm have quality fish so check them out (not sure if they have pindare in stock though).
