Geophagus sp. Red Head Tapajos

What kind of calvus and comps? My next project is gonna be a lake tang! So I might be interested depending on what u got.
I was eyeing your angels...I have a pair of angels....blues...that I just put in a breeder tank. I'm waiting to see what happens. They laid in the community tank but of course now they are being stubborn....lol

I have 5 yellow calvus (1st photo below) that are young yet and not colored up. Probably 1.5 - 1.75 inches, and I have a group of 8 Gold Head comps (2nd photo below) that are a good 2 inches and better. A couple of males have made themselves known. Looking for $60 for the gold heads and $30 for the yellows, or $80 for all of them. Come get them soon and i'll send you away with some shells and barnacle clusters!

OOOhhhh you are tempting me!!! What is the water like you are keeping them in? I am not quite prepared yet...lol But am very interested.

Keeping them in Ph 8.5 or so, and as hard as can be. I have to make the water as the tap water here is soft. So I have their water in storage containers. Please let me know for sure, I want to try and get these guys sold before the auction at the end of the month.

How do you "make" the water? I am very interested in the yellow calvus...oh heck I'm interested in all...not sure I am ready. I will let you know in a day or two? Is that ok?

I put the water in a rubbermaid bin, add baking soda and epsom salt and sometimes sea salt mix, to bring the water to the Ph and hardness desired. I have been mixing 4 tablespoons of bakingsoda and 1 cup of epsom salt into about 25 gallons of water. I heat and aerate it for about 24 hours before use. One of the advantages I find in pre-treating and aging water is that in ensures the temp and Ph going in is the same as that going out. The growth and spawning response is definitely noticeable. Please do let me know by the weekend. I won't list them till then.
