Why don't you want them biting you? They are too small to do any harm....
They might just be territorial. Get one of those cheap sponges on a stick or a Mag Float.

I've found most fish will attack you. I always suspected the reason was that hair looks a lot like worms . Or perhaps
particles of salt dead skin?? I find rams very aggresive once they become familiar with the routine . have a Betta that will flare every time I approach his tank and does not hesitate to bite.. Unless you have piranha I seriously doubt it's ever fatal or even painful.Irritating ?? Yes!!! gary

Piranhas are actually pretty timid toward hands in their tanks... As long as you don't flounder around your arm should be fine.
