Are these compatible at all? My husband wants an Angelfish and we planned to add that the very last. My son and I both love the german blue rams, so would we be able to keep these together? The other fish in the tank are just some xray tetras, 2 platys, 2 ADFs and a few otos.

Thanks!!!

the adf's are most likely snack food for the cichlids.

What's an ADF? Blue Rams and angels should be fine together as long as the aquarium is big enough for the angels.

Angels and blue rams get along fine.

just make sure you have a large enough tank.

generally, blues occupy the lower half of the tank and the angels the upper half.

however, if any pairings happen especially the angels..all bets are off. ;)

jm1212, I had only one angel, but that didn't stop her from laying eggs, and guarding them very agressively. (She took over 1/2 of a 75g and chased all the other fish to the far side!)

If the tank is big enough, and there is lots of floor space, angels and rams should be fine. Provide LOTS of cover for the rams however.

i have had breeding pairs of angels and rams in a 75 together. i think of it as minor cichlid aggressive with eggs and fry. never had anyone get hurt. at worst mom and dad (angel and ram) devoured some babies. no loss really since when i want to breed them they are in their own tank anyway,
