german blue rams with an angelfish????/

Blue rams certainly won't eat ADFs. Angels live in the wrong bit of the tank to pose any threat. If anything the ADFs may snap at the cichlids occasionally. They are all compatible.

Now that I know what ADF stands for, I agree. Those frog legs are going too look awfully tasty to angels.

thanks guys!

My tank is a 46g bowfront, planted (not densely though) with 3 peices of driftwood, a ghost tube, and an artificial decor.

Right now I have the 2 ADFs, 2 platys, 8 x-ray tetras, 5 otos, and I recently got an elephant nose. Ya, the platys don't really mix, got them when I first started out.

So, we might not have enough room for both an angel fish and the rams.

The store didn't have any blue rams and I've wanted an e-nose for a while and they had one that had been there quite a while and felt sorry for him (in such a small little bright tank with no shelter whatsoever) so I couldn't resist.

Well, again thanks for the info, I'm gonna work up the numbers for the amount of fish I got in the tank and see what else we can get that will work.

I just saw some Kribensis (they were gold and black too) and they looked pretty darn cool, but I was told they nip fins, and I'm sure they are more agressive then the blue rams, so they'd probably really be after the ADFs or angel if we get one.

Kribs would certainly harrass the angels, but they'd probably ignore the adfs. They may bother the elephant-nose. I have 2 kribs in a community tank with some cories and 2 thick-lipped gouramis. They ignore the cories but will chase the gouramis if they get too close. I think they probably only bother any fish that is nearly their size or larger (mine have never bothered my banded barbs or black phantom tetras, either). I think it depends very much on the individual krib, though, as I have heard of them being extremely aggressive.
