Do german rams like current in the water? It seams that the two that I have do not like the current that my power head is putting out. Has anyone had this problem?

Yes, Blue Rams evolved in shallow, still and very warm puddles in the wild, being quite high bodied for such delicate fish they do not fare as well in a strong current, causing them to become stressed and usually secluded as they will not want to venture out into what is a hard struggle for them. A gentle flow, even moderate current is quite acceptable, provided that there are area's in which they are able to rest without being "pinned' down.

It would be good to know more about this tank - size, parameters, temp and stocking.

Blair.

This is the tank

30 Gallon
Heavily planted
all perameters are good

I took shut the powerhead off and it is working. The movement from the hang on filter is good enough. It is rated for a 55 gallon tank.
