i already have 1 german ram male. he is big and verrrry good looking fish.
hes in a tank with 3 angels and 2 cories. i just bought 2 more rams (2 females i believe, but may be one male and one female)

i put them in the tank and they seemed to be getting picked on a little, so i put them in a smalll *** tank for the time being. my question is should i put them in there now and let them duke it out? or should i get a small 10-20g tank and let them grow for a while (assuming they survive) until they get bigger?
if i get that smaller tank, i will turn it into a small SW tank in the future, i may just do that

you could try re-arranging the tank of provide cover for the other rams to hide in.

I have a planted 20 I stuck 2 rams in it..then was foced (due to illness of angel ) to move two others I had in a quarantine tank.
I made sure the 20 had plenty of cover with driftwood and java fern as a curtain..the rams paired up..seems I had two male in earlier and the two new ones I introduced were females..
two pair in this tank..divided by a curtain of java fern..both pairs have spawned..now theres 20 freeswimmers and about 20 wigglers in the tank ..

but there is very little violence btwn the pairs.
