Whats up guys!

Very exciting news, every night i go on Craigslist looking for deals on a lot of things, fish tanks are one of the things i check for nightly. Last night i found an Ad on craigslist of someone selling a 300 gallon acrylic aquarium, he was asking $400. I thought to my self, " Man, $400 is an awesome price for a 300 gallon tank ", but me being my cheap *** self, sent him an email asking if he would take $100. Certain key words in a craigslist ad catch your eye and know when its okay to low ball, one of those key sentences are " need to sell quick ". So i emailed him asking if he would take $100 and ill come get it tomorrow, he said no. In my next email I explained to him what its going to be used for, sting rays and stuff and told him its going to a good home and will get a lifetime of enjoyment out of it. He replied with " could you do $200 ".

BAM, im getting a 300 gallon acrylic aquarium for $200...

$200 for a 300 gallon tank?! -- that's better then petco's $1 per gallon sale!
Nice find!

Thats a killing! Good find and awesome purchase. What are you going to put in it, fish-wise?

Check local laws. Not every state allows one to own stingrays and the like.

How about a few of the petsmart monsters that they always have in stock such as bala sharks? I think ot would be great to see a school of fully grown balas. You could try a cichla or two( peacock bass). Also i agree with authmal. Many states wont allow stingrays.

im leaning towards maybe a salt water shark tank... its going to be a long time before i set it up tho, like a year or two...

What an awesome deal and amazing find!! :D Especially in California. ;) Can't wait to see the progress as its set up. What did the previous guy have in it? It'd be sweet to see a school of adult foot long freshwater to marine black tipped silver shark catfish (columbus armani or jordani or something) that they always have at petsmart. The person on youtube posted their tank with 2 adults and they are awesome!

Couldnt find the link right now on my phone, but I'll look later on my computer. I totally butchered their name btw, Columbian shark catfish is a common name, and the scientific name seems to very depending on site. There was a video called "feeding my columbian shark catfish" that I found on youtube which had two young adults in a brackish 75, but I can't post links on my cell. Their a lot like pictus catfish, always moving and zipping around the tank and seem to be a schooling fish species too. You rarely see any adults though since so many people keep them full time in freshwater and they develop fungal? infections and die young.
