I've done a little rearranging in my apartment and this upcoming weekend I am bringing my 30 gallon tank down from my parents. Right now it only houses 3 Neolamprologus crassus. I know a 30 gallon is on the small side for cichlids but The crassus are similar to the daffodils or brichardi and I got them hoping to breed them because they are a rarer fish but it seems I got 3 males. I would like to get more crassus but I have been unable to locate any more. So, I was thinking I might want to expand my stock if I can find something appropriate for the tank. Any suggestions? Also, has anyone ever kept snails with their cichlids? I can't keep snails in my planted tank because the co2 deteriorates their shells but I was thinking the harder water without co2 might be better for snails.
Here is a picture of my tank at my parents. The fish are shy and tend to stay in the rock work. You can see them poking their heads out.
