Getting a good picture

my trick is to put the camera quite literally up against the glass, but do not try this with SLR or DSLR lenses as they may break. If you have a SLR or digital SLR (these are the fancy professional level cameras with detatchable lenses and such), try to get as close to the class without touching it. Even in the thick glass of a several thousand gallon tank, my first digital camera's flash fired well (see my avatar). The glass was slighted curved and had scratches, which you can see in the larger version of the image (see my website listed in my profile), but otherwise that method takes well and works for most standard point and shoot cameras. If you have *steady hands*, try it without the flash (just use your tank lights), although you will typically get *some* blur. Good luck and happy shooting.
