The more leaves out the higher of a chance you have it to bloom.
I have noticed that the first leaves it puts out stay low to the ground and remain small, the next few leaves will stay mid tank and will be really huge, the next few leaves will be floating and once the plant has enough leaves out then it may start blooming.
Its similar to aponogeton, once many leaves are out it starts to bloom.
Im testing the similar "theory" with my banana plant, it already has 8 big leaves out and the next one thats coming out, the stem is already taller than all the other stems, so will see if it decides to send a runner up and bloom.
