Getting fish to eat bloodworms

Just a caution

Peas for bettas are a laxative. Make sure you dont feed them it too often or they wont absorb the nutriets from the food :grinyes:. My bettas eat hikari betta bio gold and frozen blood worms as a TREAT..but I wish you luck

good gravy. as soon as i drop a block of frozen bloodworms in, the fish go nuts. never tried the freeze dried version. my fish do like freeze dried krill

Try frozen brine shrimp or frozen bloodworms. I feed my bettas bettamin flakes from tetra it has brine shrimp in the formula they eat that and once a week I feed freezedried bloodworms. Do you fast your betta once a week? If not you should is good for their digestive systems.

Mine wont touch the freezedried kind either, frozen blood worms are all they will take (as far as bloodworms).

Try skipping feeding for a day or two before offering a new food; the fish may be holding out for the food they are accustomed to, but if they're good and hungry they're more likely to try the unfamiliar stuff.
