nice tank, at first i was picturing a big open 55 with no hiding places and i thought oh my is he going to have some disgusting things floaten around but since its heavily planted it will offer a more fair chance for the guppy's too.
Thanks again for the compliments everybody. I have some pictures but the camera cord is at work. Expect them tomorrow.
I picked up the Angel tonight at 5:15 and drip-acclimated him until 7:00. He's half to 3/4 inch thick, 4 to 4.5 inch body radius and about 7 inches fin to fin. I'm told he's 7 years old.
He has at least twice the swimming room in my tank and well over twice as much water now. Add in the live snacks and I think he'll finish his life happy.
The plants are a mix of mostly fake ones with two bushes of Java Moss showing in that picture and recently a couple bunches of another live plant that I don't know the name of.
Nah. Even if I had a source for other full-grown Angelfish I would just keep one. I don't want to take the chance that two of them would decide not to get along with each other. Plus, I really do hope that the guppies continue to be a part of the tank. I don't think he'll eat/kill the adults completely.
