So i went for an interview on Tuesday morning for the Assistant Manager position of a new aquatics store that is opening near me. The problem is i havnt heard back yet and im getting worried. i know its only been a couple of days but isnt that a long time to be waiting?

i dont know what do ya think? should i get in touch with them or should i leave it and wait to hear?

I would leave it a while, patience is a virtue...If it was me, and no feedback was recieved by the weekend, then i would give them a cursery call on Monday morning and ask for some feedback on how "they thought" the interview went...

Oh, and never ring them up asking what they thought of you, makes you look like you dont have confidence in your abilities...

Good luck, and i really hope you get the job...

P.S ..... Right now, i can understand your nerves, i know what job interviews nerves feel like....LOL.... oh my....

Thanks i guess i should be a bit more patient ive just never had to wait longer than a couple of hours before. Thanks for the advice i think its because its a job im actually interested in that im so nervous. never really wanted a job before!! lol

I would call if you havent heard anything by friday around 12-1pm, I managed a big retail store for 4 years and I always liked the people that followed up it not only showed they wanted a job at my store it showed they werent afraid to communicate.

I say follow up, give them a call, remind them your interested. I wouldn't call daily though.

If they have lots of applicants, and a few call back showing interest, I think that gives them a leg up

Give them sometime, there a new store, so there gunna check 2,3 times over there applicants.

What was the close date for the position? Interviewers won't call until after they have gone through all the potential candidates. Usually, it will be a week after the final interview before they will contact the winner by phone....and the rest by letter. Hopefully it will be sooner than my last experience - It took the committee 4 months before they decided who they wanted. I got the letter in case you were wondering:wall:
In any case, good luck with getting the job. Some of us will need your discounts :grinyes:
