i have a few freshwater tanks and wanted to try out a saltwater tank, really i have no idea what i need, and how small of a setup i can amke i have a 10 gallon tnak now that i dont even use i was wondering if i could use that and just get a clownfish for it or somehting to try out saltwater, what would i need to do that, right now all the tnak has is a aquaclear mini, and a 100 watt heater, and a nonflourescent hood, thanks

most people say the best filtration is live rock. if your gonna use your 10 then its not too expensive to fill it with live rock. alot of people like deep sand beds for the substrate. a deep sand bed also helps with filtration. add a few small hermits and a few snails and that should do the job. to keep everything stable in a 10 you will need to top off with water pretty much every day. if your not going to have any corals then all you need is a strip light. hope this helps.
