My goldfish connection order has arrived. My oranda and the tropicals will have some feasting tonight with the new foods I ordered. I got sinking pellets for the goldfish and the three tropical foods. I assume I'll be able to feed the tropical vegetable wafers to the goldfish too, since they sounded the same thing, just smaller.

The goldfish tank is still cycling and I haven't seen any more signs of flashing. Should I go ahead and medicate for the flukes now anyway or wait till the cycle is finished?

I wouldn't wait until the cycle is finished. Both the Goldfish Connection and the Goldfish and Aquarium Board (GAB) say that they should all be treated, symptoms or not. If it does cause a little blip in your cycle, at least it's while you're still working on it anyway.

That good food will go a long way in making them happy!

no kidding about the food! He loved it,I put in one longish pellet and he spent a long time chewing and spitting it out and taking it back in. This morning I put in a smaller piece.

I'll start the treatment tonight. It's time for a water change anyway.

thanks,
Ellen
