No, these were just possible ideas that I've come up with which could translate into an experiment. If these chemicals all ultimately just results in a shrimps death then I wouldn't perform the experiment in the first place as we are not allowed to kill the organisms, and I like these little guys (have about 10 in my tank) so I wouldn't want to harm them. I was just curious as to maybe if there was a certain chemical/drug out their which would induce a harmless effect such as hyperactivity within the shrimp.
The only thing with the substrate is that I do not know if there will be a significant preference for me to analyze (taxis vs kinesis or something of the sort).
