Ok the other day i bought 10 ghost shrimp from petsmart so that they would clean up xtra food in my 10g livebearer tank. well i put 1 in my 20g with baby blue acars they ate him up in like 2 seconds, i also put 1 in my 55g and he survived for about 5 minutes but was eaten by my male breeder blue acara cichlid.
well to get back to the point. i woke up the next morning and i found 1 ghost shrimp outside the tank all dried up and dead so i fed it to my baby blue acaras. i also found the biggest of the ghost shrimp chomping on 1 of my dwarf red platys!!! i got so pissed i took out the platy and flushed it, and then fed all the fish in the livebearertank. the dwarfs are approx like 1" and the ghost shrimp was maybe 1.5". is what i think happened is that the platy was sleeping and since i beought them home from petsmart they were very hungry and he found a meal on a sleeping platy, lol.
just thought it was an interestig story.
