i thought i saw a thread on this before, but not sure. i have 9 ghost shrimp in my 10gal with just a male betta. i have a ghost shrimp with green dots on the underside of his tail, i belive i saw someone say that they are babys/eggs or what not? am i correct on this? and if so is there anything to do special? and will the betta take care of any of the babys? i don't want the tank over ran with the shrimp.

if they are eggs, there's nothing to do special, and the betta will take care of them if they hatch.

Ghost shrimp are not as prolific as pond snails. The beta will eat as many as it can, but if there are hiding places for the shrimp, some should survive.

If you want the shrimp to breed, you need to cover the filter intake with a sponge.

The baby shrimp will be an excellent, nutritious snack for your betta. Ghost shrimps won't pose any threat of overrunnng your tank.
