Ghost Shrimp

What is the "white string thing" inside of my ghost shrimp, only in 1 out of 4 shrimp?:help:

its a parasite; a kind of worm. from what i understand, it cant hurt your other fish or shrimp. the shrimp will most likely pass it. without an appropriate host, i cannot breed and infect your other shrimp.

Will it die when the shrimp dies or will it leave the body in search of a new host?
