So i have altums right, and was wondering if putting alot of ghost shrimp in the same tank would be a good idea, for live food not as an ornamental shrimp. will it make a mess or be agood hunting time for the altums?

Ghost shrimp will be a snack, the angels will hunt them out. Ghost shrimp do have a larvael stage, not all species require brackish water but its doubtful in a tank with a strong filter the larvae would survive to produce a breeding colony. Cherry shrimp *might* have a better chance of survival and reproduction in a densely planted angel tank.

I think the OP wants the shrimp to be eaten, msjinkzd. ;) They won't make a mess at all, when the fish find a shrimp, they will eat all parts it.

yup, they will make a tasty snack.

My Angels get 5 shrimp a week to hunt... I really believe the fish need some sort of natural stimulus.

My point was that cherry shrimp will also make a good food and will reproduce to sustain the food source, possibly even in the tank.

I'm not sure how well Cherry shrimp would work as a self-sustaining food source for Angels, though I know a few people who use them for that purpose in tanks with Gobies.
