Ghost shrimp

they can lve along time but are sold as feeders get algae eating shrimps (amano shrimp) + (or grass shrimp)they are more vigorous just avoid chameleon shrimps because they stay hidden and are a bit creapy great clean up crews along with a few platinum (or other) khuli's & shrimp realy clean everything up you dont see & fish miss .& fish alone get a little boring .Variety keeps everyone in the tank kind of on their toes :) .A bored fish is sad :(

I had 6 that lasted about 2 weeks...until my figure 8 puffer ate them all.

I wish my figure 8 had manners like yours. I added 5 ghost to my tank all at once hoping he would eat them over several days in a liesurely manner. Instead, he proceeded to kill all of them and did his best to eat them also. He looked like he had eaten a ping pong ball but kept on nibbling at what was left of the carcasses.
I now only add small ghost shrimp. They are harder to catch and can fit in the small crack he cannot reach into.

I gave up feeding live ghost shrimp to my figure 8 because it just kept freaking them out causing them to jump out the tank. Now, I didn't actually see this happen but would always find dead shrimp on the carpet under the tank the morning after introducing them.

A lid for your tank is very important if you feed your F-8 ghost shrimp.

My F8 lives happily with her ghost shrimp, they were supposed to be dinner but they take food from her!!!
She also jumps as do most of my puffers so I would never have a tank with no lid anyway!!
