i would like to buy a gibbicep. peoples opinoions vary so i would like to hear from u. could u please tell me about good species of gibbis and whether they are hardy or not
They are quite hardy and long-lived, also quite hungry, and very large. This means that they need a large tank, lots of food, caves/driftwood tangles adjusted (for their increasing size) as they grow, and a lot of gravel and tank vacuuming. Better in glass than plastic tanks.
They get large, nearly 2 feet if well cared for. Beautiful species though. Eats veggies and algae tablets. There is also an albino version of gibbiceps that are becoming more and more common.
