Just a tip for ya'll. If your anemone ever gets caught in your filter tube, DON'T TRY TO PULL IT OUT!. Simply unplug your filter and it will ooze its way out, and in my experience they have returned to normal. Even if it gets burned in half by your heater(living proof), clean up the decay and leave it be. It may just come around.

Very important to note what kind of anenome we're talking about. Some, like curly-cues and condylactus, can tolerate a lot more than a LTA. And, with anenomes, I am hesitant to call anything that's been in the tank less than 2-3 years a success.

It also depends on how well the Anemone can regenerate, some are very poor and die from small pieces missing while others regenerate so fasty they become pests.

Gealcath, that's even true within members of the same species with these guys. I think a lot of times their healing ablity depends on how big they aer ,"bigger the better", how long they've been in your tank and if they are captive raised or live caught. people really need to know what they are getting into with these guys. I love them though and have based my tank around their needs and most of mine have been fine.

anemone

I have a condy that moves all over the tank.Well,I came home from work to find it sucked halfway through my powerhead strainer.I unpluged the ph and it worked its way out.The thing looked horrible,3/4 of its tentacles were shredded off by the impeller...it looked bad...anyway two months later and you would never know the difference. They are tougher than you think!!!
