Glass Canopy under Aqualight

Tonight I upgraded my lighting from 36w strip light to a 130w Aqualight w/ 50/50 bulbs. WOW, its beautiful. I ditched the old plastic canopy and light hoods but the Aqualight box says I need glass canopies. I've ordered them online but is there any danger to leave the light mounted above the tank without any canopy for the next week?

The aqualight is mounted about 3" above the top of the tank. I haven't seen any condensation or anything on the acrylic lens. Should I put the old lights back on until the canopies arrive or will I be OK?

If there's an acrylic lens, there's no need for a glass lid.
