May I ask why you're doing it in such large pieces as opposed to the two halves?
I understand the disadvantages of doing it that way, but I'm curious what advantage you plan to get out of it.

im doing it in two halves hence my last post. Or i was anyway.. i went to allpetsemporium in pembroke pines today and bought a nice pre built one for 42 bucks. it was there. it was already made. semi-decent price so i figured what the hell. also got two new 6,700 k bulbs for my fixture.. tested them out they work just fine, though im using the H) bulbs on NO fixture. heard its ok just might make the ballast die a bit sooner. But itll be more trouble than its worth to replace exchange everything now so i'll just buy a new one when the time comes. 2-3 yrs ive been hearing when you have this kind fo setup. I now just need the canister filter , substrate, Large pieces of drift wood, CO2, plants, maybe some large river stones, a heater, air pump, plant food?, FISH! I'm dieing to have it up and running already. I should make a new journal thread.
