Hey guys, looking for some advice or experiences. I was looking at my 55g last night and the only color is my tank is my plants, so I would like to add some more color. Sitting on the shelf below the tank is a row of glass insulators that have been collected throughout the years. So I started to think, that would be neat :)

For those of you who don't know what they are here is a link to see what I'm talking about, Insulators
They were used on electrical poles as conductors, so I would assume that they are pure glass??
I would like to put a few of these in my tank to perk it up a little. What do you all think???

Insulators

As long as you are sure they are glass there should be not problem. Give them a ride in the dishwasher (shut off the jet dry if you can). Soak in declore water for a couple of days and put in tank. They are particularily good with electric eels! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
Cheers;
