Glass Nano Diffusers & DIY CO2

takes a while for the pressure to build up enough

i had success when i combined 3x1l bottles of yeast solution, takes about 2 or 3 hours to build up enough pressure to get going

you can feed all 3 bottles in to one line via t-bars and use clamps to close off each bottle when changing solution - best to change each solution on separate days

I just hooked up two of these. Seems to be doing the trick so far.

I've only ever been able to get it to work for the first few days of yeast production. otherwise, it doesnt provide enough pressure. wit DIY, you'd be better off with a hagen bubble ladder or even better with a small powerhead with venturi.

(is this the topic of the week or what?)

Have any pics of the venturi stuff? People keep recommending me that!

PS Oh and yeah, it's my topic of the week, I'm planning to start a planted tank for the second time...want to be successful this time!

a venturi is just an airline running to the powerhead output. the flow of water draws bubbles into the water stream and the turbulence helps disolve them. not only does it help with breaking up the co2, it helps distribute it around the tank. many of the cheap co2 kits come with little powerheads. a lot of powerheads have venturi.
