3.25WPG, CO2 Needed?

most likely, you will need a glass top. Why wouldn't you want to with the light this will provide. I would also say yes, to be on the safer side, maybe a DIY setup would work for CO2.

Not that i wouldn't want to. Just i don't know much about this stuff yet, only been in this hobby about 5-6 months and just now experimenting with planting tanks etc. Glass Tops look alot better? Im not very "hands on" so without detailed and i do mean detailed instructions i wouldn't know how to setup the co2 system on my own, without killing out all my plants/fish. i dont want to risk that so i might just get this. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=8981&N=2004+113779

ok, I know exactly where you are coming from as I was in your seat just a few months ago. With the glass top, you will be able to have a lot more lighting in the tank because there are no plastic seams to block it. Using the legs that are on that light will do wonders. I don't even think that will fit onto the stock hood you have now.
The diffuser I got was this http://www.floridadriftwood.com/product.asp?3=147. I use 2 soda bottles for my 75 gallon and this is a dream come true for the plants. They couldn't be happier and are growing even too fast for me to keep up.... and that's a good thing. The fish love it and so does company when they visit. I can walk you through the recipe for the setup, it's very simple and I can show you how mine is run from the bottle to the tank. You will need a check valve also with the one I posted.

I see yea, i didn't think it would fit in my standard hood now. Question thought regarding the link you posted, whats the difference between what you posted and what i posted. I get lost with all this co2 stuff. Mainly why I've stayed away from it, but its time to risk and learn.
Edit:
I know thats a reactor kit etc, but im lost as to everything i will need.

thats exactly what i have on my 29g for a glass top.. it works WONDERFULLY. highly recommend it, just make sure to not lift the lid for a full 24 hrs after attaching that tab to let it set.

If you have a 24" long tank, then the fixture should fit with the legs and you don't necessarily need a glass top. I have 2 tanks that have fixtures on legs without glass tops. I prefer open top tanks because glass tops can get dirty and less light will go through. Even clean, glass tops block some light.

The Odyssea fixtures have an acrylic cover over the bulb, so that prevents splashing. If you don't have any potential carpet surfing fish, I say go open top. ;)

I never even thought of how much more light that would allow... I have a Coralife w/ legs, I haven't been using them! Thanks for the tip DD!

How do you get the filter in etc?
