Glo Fish in Time-out

Balas definitely do better with friends, and you can probably buy some time with the 55. I think you were hinting at this, but if you do put them in a 55 make them the center piece of the tank with not too much other stock. I recently had to rearrange some decorations to make the full 4' of my tank availible for their cruising pleasure.

Okay if they are the center Piece, How many pieces can I get for the 55?

So what you are saying is that the Bala's would not be a good idea? How many Angels in a 55 as a center piece could I have.

SO...What Fish are nice "Center Pieces" that will go in the 55?

I never kept them.

From what I hear you could start with 3/4/5 small ones (I'm not familiar with your currency - nickel/dime/whatever :D)) and hopefully a pair/pairs will form, leaving you with two/four in the long term, depending on other inhabitants. Or buy a mated pair and just have the two from the start. You'll want to re-home/return the non-paired Angel(s) as they will otherwise be severely harrassed.
