Yes there are glowlight tetra: natural
Glo-Fish: Genetically modified Zebra Danios
Painted/Tatooed/Assorted Fruit: Dyed via either acid or injection. Usually glass tetra albino black skirt tetra, I've seen oscars, and some other poor fishes too. These are the ones that should be avoided as it is inhumane and it shortens the life and health of the fish, invites disease into your tank.

Oh people will protest anything, look at the protest against genetically modified foods. Read Micheal Crichton's new book "Next." Fiction but very interesting and based on actual studies.
The argument against Glofish is pretty much the same argument against designer hybrids like Blood parrots or Flowerhorns...they aren't natural. There is already a rather lengthy debate thread about this on the forums, so I don't think we need to cover it all again.
artificial selection is by definition not natural, but neither is me having to be faithful to only one woman lol

Glofish as genetically modified zebra danios (danio rerio). This is a very easy species to keep, but I'd suggest adding a couple more to the group to prevent fin nipping. You can buy regular zebra danios if you want and they should all school together since they are the same species.
I'm wanting to buy Glofish next week, I have some zebra's already, they'll school with the glofish as well right?

And I have to disagree with Zsandman, they aren't dyed, they're modified in their genes, no physical harm is done. It'd be no different than a scientist adding a gene to Zsandman to give him a humped back like a camel and a blowhole like a dolphin, sure he'll be horribly disfiguring to look at, never be socially accepted, probably never loved by a woman either even if he paid her but technically no harm done. Besides I think this opens doors to really cool stuff, imagine marine sharks that can be kept in freshwater or modified to be freshwater and maybe the size of a molly or something. How cool would that be?
I mean a great white shark you can keep in your 55 gallon, what do ya feed it? well the mollie side can be fed flakes or you can get frozen mice , those will work or even a 3 week old kitten you might have lyin' around will do.
The possibilities are endless!
