a few stems of my glosso are growing straight up and the rest is just dying. my lighting is 2.5wpg. do you suspect that its just not enough

I can't say for sure as I've never tried growing the plant my self, but most go with higher lighting like 3+ wpg from what I have seen.

What size tank? I'm wondering if depth is a problem. Also wouldnt hurt to give more info on the tank (CO2, ferts, etc.)

2.5 wpg over 55g. i've always had trouble with ground cover and i've always suspected my light. my drop checker is yellow and i dose npk and csm+b according to ei so i doubt that its that. i've been tempted to up to 3 or 4 wpg so that i can keep some ground cover but i'm scared of algae

i have .5wpg of the regular old flourecent aquarium lighting bulbs are 4 months old and i have 2wpg t5 that are 3 months old. all 6700 k
