I have a moss wall in my 10G, it keeps clogging the filter intake.

I cut the down tube at 45 degrees and re-glued it together so the inlet stick out from the wall. I used gel super glue. It held for a week, then broke off.

Guerrilla glue won't hold it either. Any suggestions?

I am going to dig around and see if I can figure out a way to reinforce the joint.

JB Weld?

Barring toxicity issues, +1 for JB Weld

I picked up some JB Weld at lunch and glued it. I will wait about 6 hours then fill any gaps. The I will let cure until tomorrow night and hope it works.

In the future a hot soldering iron (cheap crappy one for 5 bux) works great for melting plastic peices back together, not chems and it looks nicer.

Heat.

JB weld is kind of super glue, but I use that on cars.......are they safe for fish???

The J-B Weld worked great. Very strong.

J-B Weld is a a liquid steel epoxy. Ther esite says: It's water-proof; petroleum-, chemical-, and acid-resistent; resists shock, vibration, and extreme temperature fluctuations, and withstands temperatures up to 500° F.

Epoxies are gennrally safe once cured, so I figured to give it a shot. So far so good.
