glue I can use underwater

Do you have a link to it??? I would be more than happy to take a look. I am out of reef epoxy untill my LFS gets an order in (they are always out when I need it) but when I get a new tube I will post the brand that I use.

I believe what needs to be appreciated here, is that valid information needs to be passed across to members. Incorrect or miss-information can, and does lead to a situtation that cannot be reversed. Where as if the correct information is put across, the percentage of error is severly reduced.

So, can anybody please provide any info on the product memtioned by Dapettit?

Thanks..

Niko

Boston Aqua Farms Reef Glue is a thick cyanoacrylate super glue made specificly for Boston Aqua Farms. It comes in a 2oz. squeeze bottle.

This description tells me it is nothing more than over priced super glue gel.

Thanks, I figured as much but there is a sucker born every minute.

I know this will open a can of worms. . . .

Is there any particular brand I should stay away from? What is the brand of chose? Gel?

Any cyanoacrylate super glue the gel just makes it easier to work with than the runny stuff. so either regular of gel is fine.

I use Zap Gel PT26, it is what a frag speciality store in my area suggested and uses. It has worked great for me. You can get it online thru MarineDepot.com I have searched numerous hardware type stores and hobby stores in my area and nobody carries it. The Frag place is 50 minutes away so not worth the drive. Shipping from marinedepot comes out less than the gas to drive to get it.

Any super glue gel that has the cyanoacrylate in the ingredients will work fine, IMO anything more expencive is a waste of money.

Looked it up, this is directly from the description, "cyanacrylate adhesive" so if you want to pay 10 bux for over priced super glue go ahead, I get two tubes of the scotch brand for $1.99 and they are the same size, so I pay 10% of what that stuff costs and get the same adhesive. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Here is a link to marine depot.
