Go bulbs go

I have had mixed results with bulbs in the past. Recently bought a pack of the same brand as yours. Three weeks later I have no sprouts. Zero for nine. Hope you have better luck.

DAY 21

Waterlily. Some new leaves since last update, but still very, very small.

Onion. Closing in on a foot.

My experience with bulbs is rather limited, and it's been about two years since I last tried them. The Onions and Waterlilies always sprout and do well for me, it's the other two that seems really hit-or-miss though.

You can always send the duds back to the company, and they'll send you some new ones. Last time I sent about five and got twenty in return. I gave them away though, so for all I know, they could've been duds too.

Just a small update. Waterlily continues to grow new leaves, but the leaves themselves don't seem to grow any bigger. Kinda wished it stayed this way, it looks kinda cute. Onion plant is now at 20".

I'm sending the rest of the bulbs back this week.

I got some apongoton bulbs from Walmart for my tank. They were in the tank about 3 weeks without any growth... got a Pleco... they were in the tank another week no growth... wish I had kept the package- considered looking up the address and sending them back without the package.

Then- to make up my mind not to send them back my Pleco shredded them to pieces. (or at least shredded the woody outer layer to pieces).

Had to have been the Pleco- two of the bulbs had been dragged to the entrance of her cave.

Not only would none of my other fish in there have touched them (just Danios and Cherry Barbs at the time)... none of the other fish were strong enough to carry them to the Pleco's favourite cave in an attempt to frame her for bulb-icide.

The Onion is at the point where it's in one corner of my 10g, and the leaves reach up and across to the opposite corner. Waterlily continues to be a ball of numerous, small leaves.

After sending the duds back on the week of my last post, I got RTS'ed earlier this week because it was missing a few cents of postage. So I put an additional stamp on it and sent it back out yesterday, only to get it back today. Apparently USPS just saw the "additional postage required" and didn't even bother checking the weight. Worst part is that they rubber-stamped over my stamps so that I would need new stamps if I were to re-send a second time. I'm not even gonna bother anymore, so we'll call this one a loss.

I can't find any of these anywhere around me. If you ever send any duds to the place, and get some in return, I'd LOVE to give some a try! PM me if you do..
