The envelope, please...
I make small envelopes out of wax paper and tape it to the front of the tank. Sometimes, depending on the sitter, I may even mark them M, T, W, Th, as needed. Each envelope is lighter than a normal feeding, about a half size feeding. Less food = less ammonia as someone already mentioned.
For a cycling tank, I think the addition of Prime every other day might be helpful.
