I have a 35 gallon Reef setup , I have had it for about 2 years now . Im upgrading to a 60gallon tank. My question is , what is the best way to do this. Do i put all my live rock fish corals etc into the new tank and just add more water??? What would be the best way to go. I dont really have anywhwere to put my livestock in while the new tank cycles. ??

I just moved my 30g into a 65g a couple months ago. I added the sand and rock and all the water from the thirty. I mixed up more s/w so it was kind of like a big water change. I left the fish and snails, and crabs in a bucket with a piece of lr to hide under for a few hours until the dust settled. Make sure you have enough ph's for the tank. I used an old one that I had on hand to help, but now am using 2 seio's 620 (620gph) model and find this is more than adequate and gives a nice soft current.
Its a bit of a pain to do but everything came through ok.

is the new aquarium going in the same place as your existing one? if not then then maybe try this. setup your new reef aquarium with your existing aquarium running as is. add rodi water to new aquarium about 2/3 full (mark it with tape), add salt + heater + powerhead for overnight. get the water parameter the same as your existing one. then add new substrate and a couple cups of existing substrate (i like 1.5" if it's very fine stuff, and if it is very fine stuff pre-rinse) and a few pieces of liverock, critters, hermits. sit for a couple of days, topoff water in both aquariums if necessary. test water parameter. transfer livestock over to new aquarium. transfer as needed water from existing aquarium to new. run filter + other equipment. make driploops, connect to GFCI outlet etc. I don't really like to keep old sudstrate so I would give them to new tanks as seeding material. I wrote this quick so correct if necessary.
