Hey all, next weekend, I will be getting some F-0 Sailfin Mollies. One male, 2 females. Any recomendations on riding them of bugs?
Thanks

First I'd treat them with melafix and pimafix to take care of any bacterial/fungal issues.

Then I'd

Get a hydrometer and gradually raise the specific gravity by adding salt. I'd use Instant Ocean or a good freshwater salt.

Is the 'sailfin' variety really wild? I thought that fin-type was cultivated... I don't know much about mollies.

Careful adding them (wild) to any tank w/ other fish. Even though you treat them ahead of time they could still contain eggs with bacteria unaffected by the meds. Quarantine for several weeks if possible. :)
