I lost my Golds within 3 months of Each other, I cannot figure out why. I took water in to have it tested and it was fine, they eat flake/bloodworm/brine shrimp and seem to be happy. i look 1.5 hr ago and it's happy as a clam then i just look and the [explitive] is dead. any ideas?

No Ideas?

IT happens and it stinks, I only have the one left and it's lonely

just a note, columbian sharks need to be converted to brackish later in life :OT:

I have been told many times, I have ordered a 200Gal tank for them

Possibly the food you are giving them has parasites.

Also, Gourami like a lot of places to hide. Mine used to hide with my clown loaches in their deep, dark caves. Possibly they could be stressed. You of course treat the water for Chlorine and Chloramine right?

they have a cave type thing a hollow log, lots of plants..

Do you feed them live food? Way too often they are riddled with evil parasites.

Also, are you sure you do not have ich in the tank? Sometimes you cant see it very well... Especially on Golden colored fish.

And how do you treat your water after a water change?

they are fed frozen bloodworms once in 2 weeks, water changes the water is treated with a declorinator and then tested, and adjusted as needed before it hits the tank, then the tank is tested in 48 hours to ensure proper levels. there is no ich on any of my fish i checked the remaining large gold from the net i couugt it in and looked as it was just under the surface of the water, it's in perfect condition no scale or fin rot, no nipped fins or any other damage,
