How's the belly look. Ive read everywhere about a sunken belly but i really cant tell, he's very active when the lights go out. So he seems happy and not stressed.

The stomach looks ok to me. Gold nuggets are not algae eaters, they eat both plants and meaty foods. I feed mine the tablets that cories get. I also feed it shrimp pellets.

Actually, the stomach does not look to bad to me, but they are omnivores who need protein such as blood worms, mysis and brine shrimp (preferably frozen like the 50/50 Plus defrosted so it sinks). I have found if you feed just after the lights go out, the little guy has a better chance at getting the food. Also, Hikari makes "Sinking Carnivore Pellets". Having drift wood in your tank will really help as they love to chew on the wood and make it a home.

Good luck
