I added a Golden Inca Snail to my 20g a few weeks ago, and since then he or she has done a great job controlling algae.

I am worried now about it having too little to eat. Should I be supplementing ?

Yes! Algae and left over fish food alone will not give them the nutrients they need.

I would look up the sticky in the invert section for snail jello and feed fresh veggies high in calcium. (zucchini as an example)

I agree too. Sinking food like pellets and wafers will also work if you're feeling lazy.

And just an FYI, they are more commonly known as Mystery Snails.

I wonder which species exactly you have. Could you please post photos of the spire and the shell angles?

Moved to FW Inverts.

It looks like a Pomacea diffusa to me unless I lost my head on this one since the spire is not sunken. If it were cana, you would not be keeping aquarium plants successfully with that particular snail.

They love green beans!
