Has anyone got experience with this fish and can you tell me about it's temperment? I'm thinking of adding some to a 30 with goodieds in it.
 
Years ago I had a group of four (one male and three females) housed with a Blue Spotted sunfish. They're pretty even-tempered and I never experienced any aggression with them at all. Cool, interesting fish. Good luck if you decide to get some.

Thanks for the info. The Goodieds really just chase each other and ignore most other stuff alive or otherwise. The minnows will not be large enough to eat the Goodied fry so I should be good to go. I was also thinking a few blue fin killies. Anything on them?
 
No experience with them but that sounds like an awesome setup.
 
When I got some blue fin killies I had trouble getting them to eat flakes, but they had no issue going after guppy fry. They didn't bother the adults or juvenile guppies though.
