I have 2 gold fish that are being housed in my 55 gal tank for the winter(they were in a pond outside until it got too cold). One is a fancy and the other is a black moor. Recently, in the past few weeks, the black moor has been harrassed by the much larger fancy. Tonight when I got home, he was missing some scales(like a 2 cm sq. area!)
The other tank mates are: (don't flame me for their tankmates, the housing is only for the winter, as we thought the fish were dead up till we drained the 120 gal. pond 2 months ago)
1 large angle
2 long fin tetras
1 fancy goldfish
1 black moor
2 pictus catfish(supposed, they don't look like it, and are afraid of thier own shadow, so I doubt the agression is coming from them)
1 pl*co(bout 6-8")
2 Dojo loaches
Should I see if my LFS will take them? I am fairly sure that the fancy is the reason the moor is missing his scales, as I have seen the fancy shoving him around the tank. Also, the black moor doesnt look too happy. I would move him to another tank, but my only other tank is my 29 gal(heavily planted, I think he would enjoy my plants a lil too much), and a 2.5 gal tank that I use as a nusery for my cuttings from my 29. I don't know what to do!
