I'm looking to buy plants for a new 55 gal I just bought. So far, I only have 3 plants, all the same kind... I think some sort of sword. I will have goldfish in the tank so I'm looking for plants that can withstand them. I also would like to buy all of my plants from one source. I'm not too picky, but I do want some dwarf onion(not a deal breaker if you don't have it) and some sort of short grass-like stuff. The tank will provide medium light and have a sand substrate. Please break down your prices, as well as let me know how much shipping will be. I'm trying to be as economical as possible so I plan to shop around, unless your price is really phenomenal and you have what I'm looking for. Good communication is a plus, too, because I have never had a planted tank before and will probably have lots of questions! Thanks!!!!

OK... I think I'm ready to be a little more specific on what I'm looking for!! I want dwarf onion(Zephyranthes candida), water wisteria(Hygrophilia difformis), ozelot sword, Anubias nana petite, Aponogeton crispus and Anacharis(Egeria densa). This list can change some, too.

Any help, y'all? Or point me in some sort of direction... I don't want to resort to buying my plants from a pet store. I want some from a reputable source.

Thanks!

My goldfish would pick at my wisteria but not enough to really eat it all or kill it, just to let you know

i have a couple other swords and anubias not those exact ones. i personally wouldnt use petite in goldfish. i would go with one of the larger ones. i have anacharis and aponogeton crispus.

I read that Anubias nana is a really thick-leaved plant, so that's why I was thinking of that one. Plus, it's short and I want something for the foreground. It seems like my options are limited, but I do still have options.

Yes, you have options, Annie. You also know which ones are safe and which are going to be nibbled on already. Each of those plants you list are ones I've been growing myself with several large goldies... including the petites.

If I had some extras of these to sell right now, I be happy to. But these are all common plants readily available from other members here, so you'll find what you want soon enough.

Have fun with the plants!
