Goldfish ID

I've had this big guy for about 3 years now. I rescued him from a carnival because I couldn't bear the thought of him going home in the hands of a grubby child and stuck in a bowl..well i just count let that happen...so 10 bucks in balls later I won him and took him home. I have been wondering lately exactly what kind of goldfish he is...his tale is HUGE and he does not look like your common comet. Here are some pics:

i had a red/white one just like that, but alas he and his girl friend died this summer they were out side in a trough, they had been out there for 3-4 years, i have 2 of their kids now,
i believe they are called lyre tails but i'm probably wrong, but mine were sold as feeders also..
one was like yours and the other was a normal tail unfortunately the kids came out short tailed:silly:
 
that looks to be a true comet goldfish. i dont believe that is a sarassa comet.
and what a beauty. looks like a girl. how big is she?
 
so I was wrong about him being a her. so sue me! LOL
thats why flaringshutter is the goldie expert and I just try to help.
im learning more and more from her everyday too. and we love our goldies as well
