Goldfish Laid Eggs

extremely cool.

Is it possible to rename this thread Goldfish Laid Eggs?

As of now, the male is chasing the female around and nudging at her stamach. I think this means they might spawn again tonight. :headbang2:

Okay, here are some pictures of what the tank that holds the 17 eggs looks like (I counted 17).

The loose leaves in there have some eggs on them. I also put a pond snail in there to help with cleanup duty.

I heard around the 'net that I should feed the fry very fine fish flakes. When should I start to feed them?

once they are free-swimming.

They Hatched! I have about 4 of them that hatched some time in the night. I fished out 3 of them from the main tank that were swimming around, trying not to get sucked into the filter. I could'nt post a picture because they are too small for my camera.

But here's how they look like: (Picture by flaringshutter)

Agreed.

If you have more questions, feel free. Provide more plants as the fry can eat microorganisms in them as well.

Yeah, the big ball of algae with leaves in it came from my outdoor pond that must have some microorganisms in it. Probably Paramesiums and Amoebas.

They just keep coming and coming. I've rescued about 6-8 babies from the main tank, About every hour or so, I turn off the lights and shine a flashlight inside the tank and I see a little blackline swimming around and then I whip out the old net and put them in the nursery. So now I have about 10 eggs hatched. I think it's because the main tank is about 2 degrees warmer than the nursery because of the light.
