Goldfish + Turtles?

What species of turtles are these and how big are they? Adults, babies...what?
I do not know, I recently emailed my friend about that and have gotten no reply yet.

The garden would need a fence to keep in the turtles. They will just walk away if they can.
I was planning to put up a fence anyway^^

Assume that the fish will end up as food. However, if the turtles are well-fed and the goldfish are the fast, long-bodied type they may be fine.
Hopefully I'll be able to keep the turtles well fed, and I was going to get comet/feeder goldfish anyway.
Do you know if they have been fed live foods?
Nope.

Be very pessimistic about what kind of fencing will hold in a turtle. I've seen pictures of RESs climbing chain link fences. The best way to keep in aquatic turtles is with a solid rock or block wall with an overhang around the inside. I learned this the hard way last year - I built a rock border about 1' high around my pond and thought, no way they'll be able to climb out of that. Well, 2 of my turtles escaped last summer, so needless to say I'll be rebuilding the edging this spring.

I have half a dozen comets in my slider tank; they were added as 1-2" feeders and are now 4-5" long, fat, and fearless. But don't count on this happening all the time.
