Goldies again...

Thanks again guys!

Lupin - the black comets are quite rare. They're just now becoming available in the US from China, and Ken has a few. According to him, they're going pretty fast. It's a popular color, apparently! He said he would have more available in the next goldfish connection auction on Feb 14. :)

crimson - I feed OmegaOne pellets and Mazuri gel food. I definitely think it's the food you're using that is causing the yellowing. I ran out of OmegaOne (I usually buy it in bulk) and had to use Aqueon flakes for a few weeks, and my baby blue shub yellowed up quite a lot during that time. The effect is more dramatic on younger fish. Now that I've switched back, I'm seeing some improvement in the whites again. Too much color enhancer in the food causes that yellowing.

Are they rare in China as well? I'll consider ordering from someone who can import them from China.:) This might take awhile though as the pond isn't renovated yet which I am hoping will happen on summer (next month or April). Fingers crossed! I just like the pure black comets.
