I agree with everything said... thats a big same, your teacher has no clue about keeping fish....
please try to give them to someone that has a big tank to put goldies in or give them to a store...

the pond is about 200 gallons and doesnt have anything in it

I'd say put em in the pond and get some more. Or put them in your teachers tank... WHAT was she thinking? I'm going to give a kid a kangaroo if he can dunk on a 10' goal... =\

If the pond is lined, filtered, and cycled, you can add the fish to the pond. Be sure the pond is covered with metal netting so predators like raccoons and herons can't get to the fish. There should be no sharp rocks around or inside the pond, and it should be in an area where no fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides can leach into it.

You can fit 10-12 goldfish in a pond that size.
